Regular Expressions

Is there any computer superpower more impressive than the regular expression?  There is not.

Is there any computer superpower more dangerous than the regular expression? There is not

Is there any computer superpower that causes more argument than the regular expression? There is not.

What can you do with two slashes and a dot? You can rule the world. Or you can destroy it.  You can replace everything with nothing. You can replace nothing with everything.  Bending a spoon with your mind? Pssh, you can REPLACE ALL SPOONS WITH FORKS, and then turn all forks into spoons, and then you can turn all spoons into sporks because you forgot to save a backup of what a fork looks like, and so now there are only sporks.

Requirements: you have used a regular expression to solve a problem.  Then, you have used regular expressions to solve a problem created by regular expressions.
